Artistic Stain, at the 15th century Rasponi Palaces, or DOMUS MAGNA, that re-opens following extensive restoration works and returns to being a space where art can be lived and shared.
The exhibit, staged by Ilaria Siboni, with texts by Corrado Cati and with a poetic text by Valerio Fabbri, contains works by artists Mattia Battistini, Francesco Brunelli, Riccardo Bottazzi, Simone Gardini, Roberto Pagnani, Francesco Petrosillo. Each of these artists presented three pieces and only one was chosen. Six works which give image to six different wines of their respective wineries: Campodelsole, Poderi Morini, Tenuta Pandolfa, Tre Monti, Trerè.
Francesco Petrosillo uses monumental shapes, which are volumetric, almost all in one with the base. From whichever point one views them, the spectator has a sensation of being in front of something in which all parts concur to equilibrium and harmony, both from a chromatic and a structural point of view. We actually see that inside multicoloured environments, the subjects, also coloured, fit perfectly, giving life to surreal chromatic combinations, alive and changing, coexisting without screeching, not annoying the eye, giving accent to a fantastic and unreal dimension. The same calibrated research, used in the attention to colour, is found in the representation of figures: due to the clear graphic linearity which surrounds the volumes, they stand out thoughtfully on the flat base, sharp and accomplished, whilst the movement and dynamism, ever present in Petrosillo’s works, are in harmony with their surroundings and sink their roots in our first historic avant-gard.
